No. I'm not talking about flatulence, but something much more serious. Gear Acquisition Syndrome, something that affects hundreds of thousands of people worldwide.
It drives them to by that latest bit of kit, new lens, better camera, new toys etc..
Coming from being a chronic guitar buyer and stepping into the world of photography has opened up a whole new level of GAS.
You may notice my gallery is filling with monochrome, and this has to do with my new found love of historical photojournalism. The good old black and white snaps of history.
So I'm delving deeper into the world without colour, and this brings on thoughts of gear to suit. A nice 50mm lens perhaps? I'm not sure.
I'm getting my filter kit built up though, so working those into my shots should be a bit of a learning curve.
I'm fighting the urge to splash out on a new camera as well. I really don't think I've outgrown the D40x, so maybe I'll stick with it a bit longer. Who knows..
Too many things to consider, too little time to actually take photos. I should get out more.
